Study of intermediate two-body decays in (B)over-bar(0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(0)(p)over-bar pi(+)

英文摘要 | We present results of a detailed study of the three-body (B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(0)(p) over bar pi(+) decay. A significant enhancement of signal events is observed in the (p) over bar pi(+) invariant mass distribution near 1.5 GeV/c(2) that is consistent with the presence of an intermediate baryonic resonance (N) over bar (0), where (N) over bar (0) is the (N) over bar (1440)P-0(11) or (N) over bar (1535)S-0(11) state, or an admixture of the two states. We measure the product B((B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(c)(2455)(0)(N) over bar (0)) x B((N) over bar (0) -> (p) over bar pi(+)) = (0.80 +/- 0.15(stat.) +/- 0.14(syst.) +/- 0.21) x 10(-4), where the last error is due to the uncertainty in B(Lambda(+)(C) -> pK(-)pi(+)). The significance of the signal is 6.1 standard deviations. This analysis is based on a data sample of 357 fb(-1), accumulated at the gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asyrrimetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
