High-resolution H alpha and Ca II K spectroscopic observations of Capella and the analysis

| 英文摘要 | We present and analyze high-resolution spectra of the H alpha and Ca II K lines of the Capella system observed from 1989 November to 1995 October, Besides the obvious shifts of the line profiles relating to the orbital motion of the binary system, the combined Ka lines, whose average equivalent width is -1700 m Angstrom, have an additional +/- 310 m Angstrom equivalent-width variation, and such a variation may, based on our quantitative estimation, come from the hot component. Most of the emission features in the Ca II K line center come front the cool star with short time-scale variation on both the emission strength and line profile. |
