Synthesis and Biological Activities of o-Vanillin-histidine Schiff-base and Its Lanthanum Complex

英文摘要Two new compounds, o-vanillin-histidine Schiff-base and its lanthanum() complex, were synthesized. Element analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, ultraviolet-visual spectra, infrared spectra, thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis and chemical analysis were employed to characterize the compositions and structures of o-vanillin-histidine Schiff base and its lanthanum (III) complex. The results show that the molecular formula of the o-vanillin-histidine Schiff base and lanthanum (III) Schiff base complex are C14H15N3O4 center dot H2O and La (C14H15N3O4)Cl-2 center dot 3H(2)O, respectively. The biological activities of C14H15N3O4 center dot H2O and La(C14H15N3O4)Cl-2 center dot 3H(2)O were studied using biological microcalorimetry. The metabolic thermogenic curves of S. pombe were measured at 301. 15 K. Some thermokinetic parameters of growth and metabolism of S. pombe, such as the rate constant(k), generational time(t(G)), total thermal effects(Q(total)), inhibition ratio(I) and half inhibition concentration (IC50), etc. were calculated. Experimental results show that the k and Q(total) values of S. pombe decrease, while t(G) and I values of S. pombe increase with the increase of the concentrations of C14H15N3O4 center dot H2O and La (C14H15N3O4)Cl-2 center dot 3H(2)O. The IC50 values for (C14H15N3O4)Cl-2 and La(C14H15N3O4)Cl-2 center dot 3H(2)O were found to be 0. 2585 and 0. 2488 mmol/L, respectively.
