英文摘要Motivated by the noise analysis in the feasibility study of gravitational wave (GW) detection with atom interferometry, the propagation of both massive and massless particles in a linearized GW background is investigated. The geodesic from the GW background is worked out, which shows that along the transverse direction, the trajectory of particles will be perturbed by the h(x) polarization of GWs. Fortunately, this kind of perturbation is far below the requirement on the pointing stability for the present GW detectors and proposals.
