中文摘要滑坡学主要研究滑坡的形成机制、分布规律、运动特征、预测预报和预报治理,同时也十分重视滑坡研究方法和手段,这些就构成了滑坡学的基本研究内容。本文就滑坡学兴起的背景和基本研究课题作了讨论。
英文摘要In this paper, landslide science and its basic research tasks are discussed. Landslide science is sort of science researching sliding phenomnon and proecesses on the slope as a whole. Landslide science has been forming, developing and tending to be ripe. Landslide science has its theorctical research tasks including: A. Landslide distrubition law (systematic registration of landslides. Landslide classification and landslide mapping); B. Landslide formation mechanisms (the formation of slip surface (or zone), landslide formation models, and landslide formation conditions); C. Landsile movement laws (morphology. kindeties, active periods and periodicity). The application research tasks of landslide science include: A. Landslide prediction and forecast; B. Calaitous landslides (bank landlides, submarine landlides, landslides in swelling caly, and landslides caused  by earthquake, rain storm, thermal melt, collapse, and vocanic eruption, etc.); C. Landslide prospecting and measuring methods (the application of remote sensing, prospecting, measure and tests of landslides); D. Landslide control (control priciples, thrust calculation and control methods). Besides. the unilization of landslides has been noted. Nowadays, the main tasks of landslide science are to develop the basic research harb, to raise the level of the application research tasks quickly and to popularize the research achivevement vigorously.
