The apsidal motion in multiple planetary systems

英文摘要We perform numerical simulations to investigate the apsidal motion in the planetary systems, upsilon Andromedae, HD 12661 and 55 Cancri. The first two systems are in symmetric apsidal librations about 0degrees and 180degrees respectively, and the last appears to be in an asymmetric Deltaomega-libration. We underline that the apsidal librations do play a significant role in maintaining the stability of the planetary systems.
