Absorbing Low-Concentration Mercaptan with Active Carbon Doped by Copper

英文摘要 | Woody active carbons doped by copper were prepared with impregnation method. The influences of copper loading concentrations and calcination temperature upon the mercaptan absorbing ability of the as prepared samples were investigated. It was revealed by the results that both copper loading concentration and calcination temperature play an important role upon the absorbing performance of the samples. The optimal calcination temperature and loading concentration are 300 degrees C and 0.7 mmol.g(-1), respectively. Low-temperature Nitrogen Absorption, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and High Resolution Transmission electron microscopy methods (HRTEM) were employed to analyze the as-prepared sample. It was revealed by the results that there were much relationship between the absorbing ability with the specific surface area, valence of copper and dispersion state of copper species. The optimized sample showed very good absorbing ability to mercaptan with low-concentration. Its break-through interval was 6 times longer than that of the blank active carbon. |
