Spectroscopic properties and energy transfer of Eu2+/Tb3+ co-doped high silica glass

英文摘要eu2+ and tb3+ singly doped and co-doped high silica glass samples were prepared, and their luminescent properties were investigated. the transfer of energy from eu2+ to tb3+ was observed via excitation, emission, and photoluminescence decay spectra. eu3+ was transformed into eu2+ completely. the green emission intensity from tb3+ that peaked at 545 nm increased to 2.63 times stronger, and its optimum exciting peak shifted from 245 nm to 320 nm. at the same time, the blue emission intensity derived from eu2+ almost disappeared. this is the first time to observe the energy transfer efficiency from eu2+ to tb3+ approaching 100% in glass.
