中文摘要论文介绍了Wigner分布函数二阶矩的传输定理,以及Wigner分布函数在可以用ABCD矩阵表示的一阶光学系统中(即自由空间传输、薄透镜系统、放大系统、傅利叶变换系统、无像差成像系统等)的应用,并利用Wigner分布函数进行部分相干光位相、空间及光束质量因子的分析.论文系统分析了多种激光模式的聚焦特性,以及空间相干度对聚焦特性的影响,详细讨论了由于激光谐振腔的失谐,工作物质增益不均匀,以及谐振腔和光学传输放大过程中的光学元件等诸多因素导致的变形光束的聚焦特性.论文讨论了当今国际激光界关注的一个热点问题,即激光聚焦特性的研究.研究了当聚焦镜沿光轴作长距离移动时,光斑大小、焦距和焦深的变化,以及与高斯光束的模阶数之间的关系.论文从理论和实验上研究了齿形切趾光阑(齿形软边光阑)的远场特性,对光束聚焦特性的改善具有极大的作用,研究取得了较为理想的结果.
英文摘要This paper is based on the project supported by National Natural Science Foundation "Theoretical & Experimental Research of Focus Characteristics of Partially Coherent Light"(Grant No.69978022) and the Instrument Developing Project of Chinese Academy "Laser Beam Quality Controlling Apparatus". In this paper, the focus characteristics of partially coherent beam are analyzed through theoretical and experimental methods. Relative results have been reported in the two SPIE meetings held in Santa Fe, US and Osaka, Japan respectively, and published in the "Science of China", it has great guiding significance in the application and innovation of laser technology. First, the transmission law of the second-order moment of Wigner distributed function (WDF), and the application of WDF in the first-order optical systems (including free space transmission, thin lens system, amplifying system, Fourier transformation system, aberration free system etc.) are introduced. The analysis of the phase and space transition of partially coherence beam and the change of beam quality are carried out. Second, the focus characteristics of several kind laser modes, and the influence of the spatial coherence on the focus characteristics are presented. Focus characteristic of distorted modes caused by several factors such as the misalignment of resonator, uneven gain distribution of the laser material, and the thermal deformation of the optical elements in the cavity are also discussed in detail. Then a hot problem in current international laser field, the focus characteristics of the flying laser beam, is discussed in this paper. The changes of focal length, focus spot size, and focal depth, and the relatives between them and the orders of modes are studied. Finally, far field focus characteristics of different serrated-aperture apodizers adopted to better the focus characteristics of the beam are discussed systematically. Good results are produced.
