中文摘要本文介绍了中性汞原子的激光冷却实验装置、汞原子吸收池中的激光光谱以及利用汞原子的光谱对激光器锁频的方法。 作者在博士工作期间设计⒋罱艘惶字行怨拥拇殴廒逑低场S捎诠釉谑椅孪戮哂薪细叩谋ズ驼羝梗竦谜婵斩扔庞?×10-9 torr的超高真空系统,设计了用半导体制冷器控温的汞源系统。该系统可以将汞源的温度控制在-70 °C以下。在磁光阱系统中采用折叠光路作为冷却光路,以节约紫外光的功率。在202Hg的1S0-3P1跃迁附近缓慢扫描激光频率的情况下,捕获了约1.5×105个202Hg原子。 作者研究了汞原子1S0–3P1跃迁的消多普勒磁致双色光谱,并优化了磁场与温度,使得消多普勒磁致双色光谱的斜率最大。利用这个光谱,可以将四倍频激光器的频率锁定在200Hg的1S0–3P1跃迁上。为了进一步减小激光锁频上所需的紫外光功率,还设计了一套基于调频光谱的激光调谐和锁频系统,使得激光锁频以及调谐系统所需的功率小于1 mW,利用这种方法锁定激光器的频率,可以使得激光器的频率抖动小于0.1 MHz。
英文摘要This thesis introduces the experimental setup for the laser cooling and trapping of neutral mercury, the laser spectroscopy in mercury vapor cell and its application for the frequency stabilization. The author designed and built a magneto optical trap system of neutral mercury. Because of high vapor pressure at room, the mercury source were cooling down to -70 °C to keep the science chamber in ultra-high vacuum with 2´10-9 Pa. Limited by the power of UV cooling laser, the one beam folded MOT configuration was adopted, and 1.5´105 202Hg atoms were observed by fluorescence detection when the laser frequency was sweeping slowly across the resonance frequency of 1S0-3P1 transition. The author also studied the Doppler-free dichroic locking (DFDL) spectroscopy on the 1S0–3P1 transition. The axial magnetic field and cell temperature are optimized for the slope of the DFDL signal. And the UV laser is stabilized on the transition of 200Hg by this method. To save the power of UV laser, the author also designed a frequency tuning and locking system based on the frequency modulation spectroscopy. Finally, the UV laser is well locked on 1S0-3P1 transition of 200Hg atoms with the jitter of 0.1 MHz, and power consumption is about 1 mW.
