中文摘要 | 本文对光纤光栅的包层模理论、光纤光栅的调谐特性、以及基于莫尔效应的各种子结构光纤光栅,如相移光纤光栅、取样光纤光栅、变迹光纤光栅等进行了理论和实验研究,目的是探讨侧向写入光纤光栅过程中与包层模损耗有关的因素,研究光纤光栅调谐的特性,以及莫尔效应在子结构光纤光栅上的应用,为光纤光栅在未来动态光网络中的应用,以及提高光纤光栅有关的光子器件的性能提供理论和实验依据。论文首先从光纤电磁场理论出发,用弱波导近似法分析了纤芯模的模场分布;然后将光纤光栅等效于三层圆波导,利用德贝势能法,求出了光纤光栅中包层模场的分布;根据求出的模场分布,证明了利用相位板侧向写入光纤光栅过程中,光纤光栅横截面上光照不均匀会使纤芯模与包层摸藕合系数增大,从而引起包层模损耗的增大。 |
英文摘要 | In this dissertation, the cladding mode theory and tuning characters of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) have been investigated. Several structure fiber gratings, including }-phase shifted grating, sampled fiber grating and apodized fiber Bragg grating; and so on, were studied theoretically and experimentally. The purpose of the dissertation is to discuss the factors affecting the cladding mode loss during side writing of FBq to study the tuning characters of FBG and application of moire effect on FBG and to provide the experimental and theoretical basis for tunable devices based on FBG in future dynamic optical network. The core mode distribution was deduced with the method of weak guidance approximation from electromagnetic theory of fiber when we regarded the FBG as two-layered cylindrical waveguide. The cladding mode distributions were got by the method of Debye potential when we regarded the FBG as three-layered cylindrical waveguide. The coupling coefficients between core mode and cladding modes were calculated under different conditions. It was proved that the non-uniform UV exposure would cause the increase of the coefficients and as a result, the cladding mode loss would rise. |
