中文摘要 | 作者在全光通信中的全光波长转换技术、多波长光源、MOEMS光开关这些光电子器件前沿领域开展了一些研究工作,主要包括:1、系统地分析了波长转换技术在全光网络中的作用。分析表明波长转换技术可以简化网络的设计,改善网络性能,分散网络管理以及显著减少网络恢复所需的资源。对全光波长转换技术的特点进行了归纳分析,系统地评述了研究现状与发展趋势。 2、提出基于光纤光栅外腔半导体激光器的激光器型全光波长转换方案,并进行了理论与实验研究。本方案一个突出的优点是,由于激光器波长被锁定在光纤光栅Bragg波长上,因此转换信号无啁啾,可以实现信号的远距离传输。基于载流子消耗机理,建立了激光器型全光波长转换器的物理模型,对小信号的频率转换特性进行了理论计算。实验发现转换信号的消光比与激光器的注入电流有关,通过选择注入电流可以得到最高的消光比。该波长转换器具有闭值转换特性,可以显著改善信号的消光比。对波长间隔为20nm的上、下波长转换进行了实验研究,表明上、下波长转换具有相同的转换效率。进行了波长间隔为30nm的大间隔转换实验,转换效率比波长间隔为20nm时低,理论上对其原因进行了合理的解释。进行了155 Mbit/s非归零伪随机码动态转换实验,转换信号眼图清晰,信号量好。 |
英文摘要 | In the first part, the impact of wavelength conversion on design of logical topology,performance and management&control of all-optical network is discussed. Analysis results show that the wavelength conversion technology may simplifies design of logical topology, improves performance of network, and distributes management of all-optical network. The research situation of all-optical wavelength conversion technology is reviewed, and developing direction of its is also pointed out. A scheme of laser-type all optical wavelength conversion based on fiber grating external cavity laser diode is presented in the second part. Because the laser wavelength is lock at Bragg wavelength of fiber grating, one feature of the scheme is that the converted signal haven't frequency chirp, therefore the signal can be transmitted over a long distance. The theoretical model is presented by using carrier depletion mechanism in the active region of the laser diode. A small signal analysis and the frequency response function are also given. Theoretical analysis shows that the conversion speed of the wavelength converter is dependent on the lifetime of photon and photon density in active region. The experiment results show that the extinction ratio of converted signal is depended on injection currents of the laser diode when injected optical power is constant value, and maximum extinction ratio can be obtained by adjusting the injection currents. The wavelength converter has threshold conversion characteristic, and extinction ratio of input signal can be improved observably. Both up-conversion and down-conversion with wavelength span of 20nm are presented. The wavelength conversion with span of 30nm is realized, but the conversion efficiency is lower than that of conversion with span of 20nm. Dynamic wavelength conversion for 155Mbit/s NRZ input signal is also presented. |
