中文摘要掺铒激光玻璃以其能直接产生1.5μm附近波段的人眼安全激光,在军事、通讯和医学等领域备受关注。闪光灯泵浦铒玻璃以其高稳定性、低成本及设计成熟等优点仍然是商品化器件特别是军用器件的主要部分。研究闪光灯泵浦过程中铒玻璃的能量传递机理,可以为改善铒玻璃材料提供可能的途径。由于实用化的需求,实现铒玻璃的调Q激光输出成为现阶段的研究热点,但铒玻璃及其与之匹配的调Q材料,它们的性能匹配对Q脉冲激光输出特性的影响研究很少。因此,本文将基于闪光灯泵浦Cr:Yb:Er共掺磷酸盐玻璃的能量转移过程,建立速率方程模型,通过数值模拟分析各种因素对闪光灯泵浦铒玻璃自由振荡和被动调Q激光输出的影响,探索铒玻璃激光材料可能的优化方向。 本文首先测试了自由运转情况下,闪光灯泵浦Cr:Yb:Er共掺磷酸盐玻璃的激光输出性能。建立了闪光灯泵浦铒玻璃自由运转激光器速率方程模型,数值模拟结果与实验结果一致。同时,还可以拟合得到不易直接测试的激光系统参量的取值。在上述理论基础上,详细研究了铒玻璃中稀土离子掺杂浓度对自由振荡激光输出性能的影响,为数值模拟调Q输出奠定了基础。 实现了闪光灯泵浦Cr:Yb:Er共掺磷酸盐玻璃以Co2+:LaMgAl11O19晶体为可饱和吸收体时被动调Q激光输出。利用调Q激光脉冲,测试了Co2+:LaMgAl11O19晶体1.54μm波长处的饱和吸收曲线,得出该晶体1.54μm处的基态吸收截面和激发态吸收截面。在自由振荡激光器速率方程模型的基础上,分析Co2+:LaMgAl11O19晶体加入后,被动调Q激光系统中的能量转移过程,建立了闪光灯泵浦铒玻璃被动调Q激光器速率方程模型,模型的理论模拟结果与实验结果一致。利用模型详细分析了铒玻璃和Co2+:LaMgAl11O19晶体对闪光灯泵浦铒玻璃被动调Q激光输出的影响,并提出了铒玻璃和被动调Q材料可能的优化方向。最后,也分析了激光谐振腔参数对被动调Q激光输出的影响。
英文摘要Last decade Erbium doped glass lasers have increased interest for generation in the eye-safe region near 1.5μm, especially in the field of military, communication and medicine, etc.. The Xe flashlamp pumped Erbium glass lasers are still the main part of commodity devices in particular a military device for their high reliability, maturity and low design cost. The study on the energy transfer mechanism of Cr:Yb:Er tri-doped phosphate glass during the flashlamp pumped process can provide a new technical way to improve the material property of Erbium doped glass laser, most probably. Due to the practical needs, Q-switched Erbium glass laser is the research focus, but little attention is paid on the influence of adaptation between Erbium glass and Q-switched material on Q-switched laser output performace. Therefore, the set-up rate equations are used to study the impact of different factors on the output laser performance and to explore the possible direction for optimizing Erbium glass laser system. Firstly, the flashlamp pumped Cr:Yb:Er tri-doped phosphate glass laser output performace is studied in free oscillating mode. And the rate equations model which discrible the dynamics process of flashlamp pumped free oscillating output laser are obtained. The simulated results of the model are good agreement with the experimental results. During simulation process, the values of laser parameters, which are difficult to measure, can also be obtained directly. Based on the theory analysis above, the influence of Er3+ ions, Yb3+ ions and Cr3+ ions concentration on free oscillating output laser performance are studied, respectively. That lays the foundation for numerical simulating the Q-switched output laser. Secondly, flashlamp pumped Cr:Yb:Er tri-doped phosphate glass passively Q-switched laser employing Co2+:LaMgAl11O19 saturable absorber is obtained. Using the obtained Q-switched laser pulse, we measure the saturable curve of Co2+:LaMgAl11O19 crystal at 1.54μm, and obtain the ground-state and excited-state cross section. Based on the set-up rate equations in free-oscillating mode, the rate equations in passively Q-switched mode are also set up by further analyzing energy transfer processes in the passively Q-switched Erbium glass laser. Simulated results are also good agreement with the experimental results. The impact of Erbium glass and passively Q-switched crystal properties on Q-switched laser output performace are analyzed, repectively. The possible design directions of Erbium glass and passively Q-switched materials are obtained. At last, the influence of parameters of laser cavity on the passively Q-switched laser performace is also studied.
