稀土离子掺杂氟磷玻璃的2μm发光特性

中文摘要 | 近年来,2μm激光因其在军用和民用领域的广泛应用而受到高度重视。目前,国内外对2m激光输出的稀土离子掺杂材料的研究非常多,中心发光离子主要是Tm3+离子和Ho3+离子。其基质主要有YAG晶体、YAP晶体、YLF晶体、石英玻璃光纤、氟化物玻璃、碲酸盐玻璃和其他重金属氧化物玻璃等,但用氟磷玻璃作为2μm激光介质的报道却不多。氟磷玻璃兼具了氟化物玻璃和磷酸盐玻璃的优点,同时它也具有成份可调性大、稀土离子掺杂浓度高、稀土发射截面高、制备工艺较简单等特点,是一种适合于2μm发光的材料。本文主要从以下五个角度研究在氟磷玻璃中掺杂稀土离子的2μm发光情况。 第一,研究了碱金属氟化物对玻璃物理化学性能及光学性质的影响,从而确定20Al(PO3)3-47BaF2-13MgF2-20LiF为基质玻璃组分。 第二,研究了氟磷玻璃基质中多种稀土离子掺杂方式的2μm光谱性质,包括了Tm单掺、Yb/Ho双掺、Yb/Tm双掺、Er/Tm双掺、Tm/Ho双掺、Er/Ho双掺、Yb/Er/Tm三掺、Yb/Er/Ho三掺、Yb/Tm/Ho三掺、Er/Tm/Ho三掺等,比较分析了它们的2μm发光特性,研究了它们的能量传递机理。研究发现980nm 泵浦的Yb/Ho双掺和808nm泵浦的Er/Tm/Ho三掺的氟磷玻璃2μm荧光强度较大。 第三,研究了在Tm单掺、Yb/Ho双掺和Er/Tm/Ho三掺的氟磷玻璃中,不同稀土离子的掺杂浓度对氟磷玻璃的2μm发光性能影响。 第四,研究了Ce3+离子对Yb/Ho双掺样品上转换发光和2μm荧光的影响,发现Ce3+离子对Ho3+离子的上转换发光具有抑制作用,尤其对绿光上转换的抑制更明显,对2μm荧光发光具有增强作用。 最后,制备了Tm3+离子高掺的氟磷激光玻璃,测试并分析了它的2μm激光性能。 |
英文摘要 | In recent years, 2μm laser has drawn a lot of attentions because of its wide range of applications in military and civil fields. At present, many rare earth ions doped materials are studied to achive 2μm laser, in which Tm3+ and Ho3+ ions are used as the luminescence center in this band. YAG crystals, YAP crystals, YLF crystals, silica glass fibers, fluoride glasses, tellurite glasses and other heavy metal oxides glasses are used as host matrixes. However, few researches on fluophosphate glasses as 2μm laser medium have been reported up to now. Fluorophosphate glasses combine advantages of both fluoride and phosphate glasses, and they also posess the characters of extensive compositions, high solubility of rare earth ions, large emission cross sections and relatively simple fabrication technics. All the mentioned merits exhibit that fluorophosphate glasses are a promising material for 2μm emission. In this paper, 2μm optical properties of rare earth doped fluorophosphate glasses are investigated as follows. Firstly, the effect of alkaline fluoride on physical, chemical and optical properties of fluorophosphate glasses is analyzed. From the results, the composition of 20Al(PO3)3-47BaF2-13MgF2-20LiF is confirmed as the optimal host matrix for 2μm emission. Secondly, 2μm spectroscopic properties of variety kinds of rare earth ions doped systems in the chosen fluorophosphate glass matrixes, including Tm singly-doped, Yb/Ho doubly-doped, Yb/Tm doubly-doped, Er/Tm doubly-doped, Er/Ho doubly-doped, Tm/Ho doubly-doped, Yb/Tm/Ho triply-doped, Yb/Er/Ho triply-doped, Yb/Er/Tm triply-doped and Er/Tm/Ho triply-doped. And their energy transfer mechanisms are also analyzed. As a result, Yb/Ho doubly-doped sample pumped at 980nm and Er/Tm/Ho triply-doped sample pumped at 808nm exhibit better fluorescence intensity than others. Thirdly, the effect of doping different rare earth ions concentration on 2μm emission properties in Tm singly-doped, Yb/Ho doubly-doped and Er/Tm/Ho triply-doped fluorophosphate glasses are investigated and analyzed. And then the optimization of doped rare earth ions in each doping system is discussed. Fourthly, the effect of Ce3+ ions on 2μm emission intensity as well as upconversion luminescence is studied. The results show that doping of Ce3+ has restrained the upconversion emission and the restraining effect on green light up conversion is markable. And it plays a positive part to strengthen 2μm emission. At last, high concentration of Tm3+ ions singly-doped fluorophosphate glasses are fabricated and their laser performance at 2μm is tested and analyzed. |
