中文摘要随着激光二极管的发展,尤其是波长在900-1100nm的InGaAs激光二极管的发展,掺杂Yb~(3+)离子材料以其优良的光谱性能引起了人们的研究兴趣。在众多掺杂Yb~(3+)离子的材料中,Yb:YAG晶体由于具有优良的热力学和机械性能、光学性能,对其光谱和激光性能研究得到全面发展。目前,Yb:YAG晶体的连续激光输出已达千瓦级。本文主要对Yb:YAG晶体的生长,热力学性质及光谱性能进行了研究。本文通过中频感应加热提拉法生长了掺杂浓度2.5a%、5at%、10at%、20at%和30at的Yb:YAG晶体。退火后,对晶体的热学性质进行了测量。结果表明Yb~(3+)离子的掺杂影响了Yb:YAG晶体的热学性质,导致昌体的导热性能发生了较大降低。当Yb~(3+)离子掺杂浓度从2.5at%增加到20at%时,晶体的热导率在室温下从6.07W/m * K降低到4.74W/m * K。Yb:YAG晶体热学性质随掺杂浓度的改变影响到了晶体的激光性能。通过紫外吸收光谱研究了Yb:YAG晶体的退火效应。在高温氧气氛退火后,Yb:YAG晶体370nm和625nm处宽的吸收带消失的同时,在254nm附近出现了新的吸收带,表明高温退火并没有使色心完全消除,而可能只是使色心的带电性质发生了变化。对Yb:YAG晶体940nm附近吸收光谱的研究表明,掺杂浓度影响了晶体的光谱性质。当掺杂浓度从2.5at%增加到20at%时,晶体940nm处的主吸收峰位置发生了“紫移”,从940.4nm移动到937.3nm。对Yb:YAG晶体Raman光谱的研究表明,Yb~(3+)离子的掺杂浓度影响到了Yb:YAG晶体的晶格振动,从而可能影响到晶体的光谱、激光性能。
英文摘要Recent development of diode lasers, especially the InGaAs diode lasers with wavelength of 900 ~ 1100 nm, has stimulated interest in the Yb~(3+)-doped laser materials. Among the numerous Yb-doped crystals, Yb: YAG has been paid more attention because of its good thermal, mechanical, chemical properties and laser characteristics, especially high quality and highly doped Yb: YAG can be grown using the traditional Czochralski (CZ) method. In this paper, the crystal growth, thermal and spectra properties of Yb: YAG crystal are discussed. By Czochralski method, high-quality Yb: YAG with the Yb concentration of 2.5at%, 5at%, 10at%, 20at%, and 30at% wee successfully grown. After the as-grown Yb: YAG crystal was annealed under high-temperature conditions, the thermal properties were measured. It shows that the Yb concentration greatly affects the thermal properties of Yb: YAG. When the Yb concentration increases from 2.5at% to 20at%, specific heat decreases from 543.9 J/kg·℃ to 539.8 J/kg·℃ and the thermal conductivity decreases from 6.07 W/m * K to 4.47 W/m * K. The deterioration of thermal properties has negative effect on the laser behaviors of Yb: YAG crystal. From UV absorption spectra, the annealing effect is observed. After annealing a new small absorption band appears at about 254nm with the disappearance of the absorption bands at 370nm and 625nm. It suggests that the color center was not removed, but changed after annealing. The effect of Yb concentration on the absorption and Raman spectra is also discussed. With the increase of Yb concentration the absorption peak shifts from 940 nm, which is usually the pumping wavelength, to shorter wavelength. From Raman spectra it is understood that Yb-dopant-level has influence on the crystal lattice vibration, which is related to the spectra properties of Yb: YAG.
