中文摘要 | 2μm全固态脉冲激光器由于其人眼安全、位于大气窗口和高的效率,在激光雷达、测距等领域都具有广阔的应用前景,被国际上认为是实现星载相干激光雷达的优选光源。本论文分析了2μm全固态激光器技术的发展趋势,并开展基于Tm:Ho:LuLF作为增益介质的2μm全固态脉冲激光器的相关研究。 论文首先对全固态激光器的发展历程和趋势进行了概述,报道了目前的研究进展。分析了2μm激光的激活离子,并对2μm激光器所使用的四种基质晶体YAG、YAP、YLF、LuLF进行了对比分析,得知Tm:Ho:LuLF晶体是实现2 μm输出的良好介质。 论文重点进行了2μm全固态脉冲激光器的设计,从泵浦结构、冷却方式、调Q方式以及输出光的检测等方面展开了详细的讨论。对声光调Q方式和电光调Q方式进行了比较,并设计和开展了电光调Q实验结构。结果表明声光调Q方式更适合2μm全固态脉冲激光器。 在激光器设计的基础上,进行了相关的实验工作。首先对Tm:Ho:LuLF激光器进行了空腔实验;通过对Tm:Ho:LuLF激光器与Tm:YAP激光器的比较实验,验证了Tm:Ho:LuLF晶体比Tm:YAP晶体更适合于2μm全固态脉冲激光器的研究。由于缺少2μm波长计,采用KTP腔内倍频的方法验证了输出光的波长。 |
英文摘要 | All solid-state pulsed lasers at 2μm has a great potential application in lidar, laser range finder due to its eye-safe wavelength, high transmission of atmosphere and high efficiency. It has been proven a best candidate of transmitter for spaceborene coherent Doppler lidar. In this thesis, the techniques of 2μm all solid-sate laser is overviewed, and an all solid-state pulsed laser based on Tm:Ho:LuLF crystal is studied mainly. At first, an overview of all solid-state lasers at 2μm is implemented, and the trend of this kind of laser is analyzed. The characteristics of ions for 2μm are introduced. The specification of Tm:Ho:LuLF crystal is described emphatically, and the characteristics of different material such as YAG, YAP, YLF and LuLF are compared. Tm:Ho:LuLF shows a better crystal for 2μm all solid-state laser. The design of a 2 μm diode-pumped solid-state pulsed lasers is present in this thesis. The pumping structure, cooling method, Q-switching are described in detail, and the observation of output performance is also introduced. The comparison of acousto-optic(AO) and electro-optic(EO) Q-switching is conducted for 2μm solid-state laser. The design and experiment of EO Q-switching is demonstrated. Result shows that the acousto-optic(AO) Q-switching is better choice for 2μm diode-pumped solid-state pulsed lasers. A series of experiments are conducted based on the design. Performance of empty-cavity of Tm:Ho:LuLF laser is examined. The output energy of the Tm:Ho:LuLF laser and the Tm:YAP laser are compared, and Tm:Ho:LuLF outputs higher energy at 2μm wavelength. The wavelength of output is measured using the method of intra-cavity second harmonics due to lase of wavemeter at 2μm. |
