中文摘要该论文的主要工作:1)论述了掺铒光纤放大器的基本概念和工作原理;2)综合地评述了掺铒光纤放大器的研究的发展历史;3)从理论上研究了980nm和1480nm泵浦波段的掺铒光纤放大器的行为,得到信号增益的解析形式;并推出泵浦阈值和最佳光纤长度公式;对ASE的副作用的机制进行了理论上的讨论。对800nm泵浦波段进行了计算机数值求解,得到增益特性曲线。4)从实验上对掺铒光纤放大器进行了研究。利用GaAlAs型激光二极管作为泵浦光源(805nm波段)在信号波长为1.53#mu#m处,同向泵浦得到11dB的小信号增益;双向泵浦方式得到15dB的小信号增益。并对比双光子上转换从机理上确定为属于受激态吸收上转换发光现象;5)结合国际最新发展动态,从理论上预见无衍射光束与阶梯光纤的耦合是理想的。并对一阶贝塞尔光束与光纤的耦合进行了理论研究。
英文摘要Major contents of this thesis: 1)Study on EDFA in theory. The performances of EDFA pumped by 980nm and 1480nm light wave are studied theoretically. We set up a three-level model of EDFA, deduce the analytic expression of gain of EDFA, obtaine the formula of thresold power and optimum fiber legntl and discuss the theoretical mechanism of negative function of ASE. On 800nm punping band, we make use of the method of computer mathematic calculation, get the characteriscs curves of the small signal gain. 2)Study on EDFA experimantally. We measure the absorption spectrum of Er~(3+)-doped fiber and Er~(3+)/yb~(3+)-doped fiber obtain 11dB small-signal gain with forward pumping and 15dB small signal gain by the method of bi-drection pumping, use the multi-mode and Er~(3+)-doped less than 0.8dB, observe the phenomenon of green flourence which is explained as upcoaversion process of excited state absorplion by comparing with the double photon upversion in mechanism. 3)Combining with the internationally newest development, we have given the formula of the couple between light wave and fiber, deduce the effective refractive index (n_(eff)=cos#theta#<1) of the one in fiber wavequide optics. The theoretical analysis prodicts that the couple between diffractionlessbeams and fiber, and this give the first practical application of diffractionless beams.
