2μm混合式单频脉冲激光放大器设计及种子源激光器特性研究

中文摘要2μm波段激光以其人眼安全性和较高的大气透过特性,逐渐被应用到相干探测激光雷达等领域中。例如,从国际上现有的相干激光雷达系统来看,2μm波段激光器是相干多普勒激光雷达的主要发射源。 为获得较高能量的单频脉冲激光,最常规的方式是采用种子注入的调Q技术。然而,由于种子注入调Q激光器的原理以及结构特点,使其在激光线宽以及稳频特性上受到了一定的限制。同时,种子注入调Q激光器的结构复杂,腔长较长,也不适合于复杂环境场合应用。 基于上述原因,本文提出了一种2μm单频脉冲激光放大器的设计方案:考虑采用一种混合式放大结构,包括使用光纤放大和固体放大组合方式,采用典型的MOPA结构对2μm种子源进行多级放大,最终获得高脉冲功率激光输出。该结构的激光频率特性由种子源决定,腔外斩波实现激光脉冲宽度可调,并且无需复杂的控制系统。 种子源是MOPA结构放大器中的最关键的组成单元,其特性将直接决定混合放大器输出的激光性能。我们设计并搭建了一个2μm单频连续激光器,实现了波长为2053nm,功率76.9mW的单频激光输出。 同时,本文对2μm混合式单频脉冲放大器的关键技术进行了重点分析。运用有限差分方法建立了光纤放大部分放大器的数值分析模型,分析了影响放大器输出功率提升的因素。搭建了全光纤1550nm激光器作为纤芯泵浦的单模泵浦源,该泵浦源最高可实现功率2.16W的激光输出。 最后,对2μm混合式放大技术实现单频激光器的未来工作进行了展望。
英文摘要Because of its eye-safe wavelength and high atmosphere transmittance, 2 microns band laser is gradually applied to the coherent detection laser radar and other fields. For instance, according to the existing coherent laser radar system in the world, 2 microns band laser become the key candidate for the main source of coherent Doppler wind lidar system. In order to obtain higher energy, single frequency pulsed laser, the conventional way is injection-seeding Q-switch technique. However, due to the principle and structure of the injection-seeding Q-switch laser, it is restricted to the laser line width and frequency stabilization. At the same time, the injection-seeding Q-switch laser structure is complex, the long cavity length, is not suitable for the complex environment. Based on these reasons, this paper proposes a design of 2 microns of single frequency pulse amplifier. The design scheme adopt the hybrid amplifier structure, including mode optical fiber amplifier and solid amplification, using the typical MOPA structure to amplifier 2 microns seed source, and finally realize the high power pulse laser output. Laser frequency is decided by seed source frequency, outside cavity chopper is able to realize laser pulse width adjustable, and without complex control system. Seed source is the key element of amplifier in MOPA structure, the pros and cons of the seed source characteristics directly determine the merits of the hybrid amplifier output laser performance. This paper has designed and built a 2 microns single-frequency continuous laser. The single frequency laser output is 76.9 mW and the wavelength is 2053nm. Then, in this paper, the key technology of hybrid single frequency pulse amplifier is analyzed. And the numerical analysis model of the fiber amplifier was established through the finite difference method, the effect factors of amplifier increased output power are analyzed. Setting up the all fiber 1550 nm laser as a source of single mode fiber core pump source, the fiber laser can achieve the output power of 2.16 W. Finally, the paper gives some suggestions about 2 microns hybrid single frequency laser in the future.
