英文摘要The complexation between the novel water-soluble cylindrical macrotricyclic host and paraquat guests in both solution and solid state was investigated in detail. It was found that the host could form 1 : 1 complexes with paraquat salts in water solution and solid state. Interestingly, the complexation and decomplexation of the complexes between the host and the guest could be achieved by changing the pH of the solution, and the process could also be observed by naked eye.
