英文摘要Materials with intricate nanostructures display fascinating properties, which have inspired extensive research on the synthesis of materials with controlled structures. In this study, hydrolysis and crystallization were used to prepare nano-TiO2 particles under the ambient pressure. The high surface energy of TiO2 leaded to the aggregation of nanoparticles. In order to optimize the production of nano-TiO2, factors such as the ratio of reactants and crystallization time were discussed. The surface modification of nano-TiO2 particles was necessary to improve their dispersibility in the organic solvent. Furthermore, the effect of surface modification with polyvinyl pyrrolidone on dispersibility and lipophilicity of nano-TiO2 particles were investigated. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, and transmission electron microscopy were used for the characterization of particles. Optimal conditions were obtained to produce uniform size of hydrophobic nano-TiO2 particles.
