Based on the practice of Knowledge － based subject groups integration platform in a Key Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences，this paper discussed the organization and construction in the views of development dimension，collaboration capacity and sustainable magnititude． The contents of this article covered demand research，system maintenance and management，label and function design，mechanism of cooperation and sustainability，and also gave some advice，so as to provide speculative thoughts and suggestions for the future development of the Knowledge － based subject groups integration platform．
