英文摘要 | Electric vehicles (EVs) have attracted worldwide attention increasingly from governments, industry, and public. Currently, the pure electric vehicles (PEVs) usually use single energy storage system (ESS), i.e. a battery or a supercapacitor. However, batteries have a limited power density due to their chemical characteristics and supercapacitors are difficult to provide a good performance on the energy density. A hybrid energy storage system (HESS) which consists of a battery and a supercapacitor shows an improved performance considering both the power and energy densities compared to the single ESS cases. This paper proposes two energy management strategies of the HESS for PEVs including the Minimum Principle-based optimal management strategy and the rule-based management strategy. The control objective of the former strategy is to optimize the entire efficiency of the HESS, and the control rules of the latter strategy are constructed for the purpose of prolonging the battery lifetime. The efficiency and the battery lifetime comparisons are made for the two energy management strategies. A cost comparison is also done for the two strategies on the basis of the battery, supercapacitor, and electricity costs and the battery lifetime. |
