Three-dimension Aerodynamics Analysis of an Electromechanical Converter by Dynamic Meshes Technique

英文摘要This study tries to observe the aerodynamics of an electromechanical converter under the conditions of high frequency and high speed; the thrust coil bobbin structure is optimized based on the theoretical analysis of the air damping characteristics on perforated plate. A computational fluid dynamics analysis based on dynamic meshes technique is proposed to calculate the aerodynamics of three different thrust coil bobbins. Results showed that with the increase of moving frequency and speed, the air damping of coil sub-assembly is nearly proportional to the square of the speed. Punching holes on the end face of the thrust coil bobbin could greatly enhance the air flow capacity and improve the distribution of pressure and velocity of the flow field around. Compared with proposal one, the air damping of proposals two and three is decreased by 64.3 and 97.1% respectively. It can be seen that the air damping could be reduced by the structural optimization of the electromechanical converter at high speed working conditions.
