英文摘要 | Centrifugal microfluidics has received great interests due to its advantages in turn of highly parallelization, free of external actuation, etc. This work provided a way to simulate and design centrifugal microfluidic droplet formation devices. Flow rate and droplet breakup on a rotating disc were calculated by COMSOL Multiphysics 4.4. The effect of rotation frequency and channel geometry on the size and mutual spacing of generated droplets has been investigated. The results show that centrifugal microfluidics is a viable platform for producing highly monodisperse emulsion. |
