英文摘要 | Interbody fusions employing cages have become the most common surgical procedure for the treatment of degenerative disc disease. Computational simulations conducted for interbody fusions have mainly concentrated on the geometrical shape of the cages being analyzed, and seldom take the materialtype into consideration. Thus, in the current study, not only was the structure of a novel type of cage considered, but the optimal material choice among titanium, tantalum, polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) was also fully investigated. For this purpose, a L4 similar to L5intact model and a L4 similar to L5 interbody cage fusion model were constructed, and by setting the material property parameter of the cage as titanium, tantalum, PEEK or PLGA, four different fusion models were obtained. The conclusion can be gotten that the stress shielding effect of cage in peek material is smaller than cage in PLGA material. The over-all properties of cage in peek material are better than cage in PLGA material. |
