柔性超材料吸收器用于眼内压监测的研究1

英文摘要 | Glaucoma is the main cause of irreversible blindness, and elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) pathological is the most important risk factor. However, standard clinic follow–up evaluations fail to identify IOP variations. Herein, a novel contact lens based on flexible metamaterial absorber is proposed and demonstrated successfully by detecting reflection for achieving IOP monitoring. The absorber consists of flexible substrate, metal film, flexible supporting layer and ring-shape metallic resonator. The metal film is bonded on the flexible substrate, while the ring-shape metallic resonator is fixed on the flexible supporting layer, and the flexible supporting layer suspends on the metal film. According to the simulation results, the reflection is 0 at 6.88 THz, resulting from the fixed distance value of 0.7 m between the flexible supporting layer and the metal film. The IOP increases together with decreasing the distance between flexible supporting layer and metal film, thereby, resulting in the increase of reflection. Therefore, IOP can be monitored successfully by means of detecting the reflection. This device will allow noninvasive real-time IOP monitoring, thus opening up new diagnostic methods for the management of glaucoma. |
