中文摘要Applications and results of blasting techniques in some major construction projects in China since 2004 are reviewed. In the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects and ports, there are a number of different cofferdams blasting demolition projects, weir structures and geological conditions, requiring reasonably designed blasting parameters to meet the different needs of the projects and watering conditions as well as to ensure the safety of adjacent structures. With the application of the concept of precise blasting techniques and strict management, smooth blasting and presplitting blasting techniques have been adopted in the excavation of a large hydropower dam and the underground powerhouse to obtain a high quality remaining wall with an effective control of blasting damage. After rationally digging, the over excavation was within 10 cm in the underground plant of Xiangjiaba power station. There is 0∼8 cm in flatness and only 0.7∼0.9 m in depth of the high wall rock resulting from blasting and unloading of rock excavation. Fenghuoshan tunnel in Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the world's highest plateau permafrost tunnel with a track altitude of 4905 m above sea level. In order to reduce the high temperature caused by the blasts, charging with salt stuffing has been adopted, with minimum explosion temperature in order to effectively reducing the impact of blasting in frozen soil environment. In the blasting demolition of city buildings, the fogging material known as an "active bubble" has been used to completely cover the collapsed structures, capture dust and reduce dust pollution. Blasting products and production techniques in China are also briefly introduced. © 2010 Taylor & Francis Group.
