英文摘要For the purpose of relieving the double pressures of rapid urbanization and ecological protection of Harbin City in Northeast China and realizing urban ecological security, the staged characteristics and the ecological environmental effects of urban land use extension were analyzed, the evaluation indicator system was established including four subsystems and 19 specific indicators, the urban ecological security index was calculated and the situation of ecological security of Harbin City was evaluated by using the model of comprehensive evaluation. The results show that the comprehensive index of urban ecological security in Harbin City presents an uptrend overall, and the index ascended from 0.165 in 1996 to 0.743 in 2006, so the ecological security has been up to scratch. However, the level in each subsystem was in the general and a little poor grade before 2004, but after 2004, all subsystems apart from urban environment were in above good grade after adjusted and optimized, only the environmental problems brought by rapid development in previous period were rather severe still.
