基于单片视频压缩芯片的实时MPEG2传送流编码器的研究与实现

中文摘要随着数字技术、网络技术和通信技术的发展,在传输媒体上传送实时的视频和音频信息已成为近年来数字领域内的研究热点之一,基于MPEG标准的编解码器在视频带广播系统中承担着信源编码和节目回放的重要应用。本文介绍了博士集论文工作期间承担DVB数字视频广播项目中MPEG2传送流编码器原理样机研制工作的一些成果。论文工作在分析国际标准化组织(ISO)针对多媒体压缩、多媒体通信所推出的运动图象及其伴音的国际标准ISO/IEC13818的基础上,根据MPEG2标准编码器通用模型和DVB视频广播数据格式的要求,阐述了实现MPEG2传送流编码器系统硬件实现的方案和基本的性能指标,论述了编码器生成传送流数据结构的复用算法。论文对若干关键芯片进行片选方案论证:完成视频编码子系统和音频编码子系统硬件平台的总体设计;完成了实时MPEG2传送流软件复用算法的调试,实现了脱离开发环境的独立的设备样机。在硬件系统的设计中,本文以视频压缩编码芯片MPEG Encoder和嵌入式微处理器PowerPC为核心芯片,采用模块化设计原则实现其外围电路。编码器系统中的音频编码板采用基于通用DSP - TMS320C31为CPU的立体声实时编码方案,提供系统中的音频原始流。为使目标系统能分别在调试环境和最终的脱机状态下工作,在目标板上设计了与开发平台通信的接口电路和独立的CPU控制系统,实现了对整个编码器的完整设计。编码器系统软件的调试是本论文的重要工作,系统软件的关键部分在于视频原始流和音频原始流的复用算法的实现以及对传送流时间参数(PCR, PTS, DTS等)的提取。为使编码器成为脱离开发平台的独立系统,开发了PowerPC的初始化程序和引导程序。在论文的最后,以上述工作为基础,总结了系统调试的结果和进一步优化的目标。本文属于国家“八六三”高科技攻关项目-“数字视频广播系统”中的重要组成部分。
英文摘要With the development of digital technology, internet technology and communication technology, transferring real time video & audio signals on media has always been one of the research focuses in digital application area in recent years. Encoder and decoder based on MPEG standards have taken on important roles on digital video broadcasting system. This paper introduces the research works on developing MPEG2 transport stream coding system during the last three years. Based on moving picture ad associated audio international standard-ISO/IEC13818 ad encoder model suggested by the International Organization for Standardization, the thesis introduces the implementation on hardware and software design of video & audio transport stream encoder system and system's elementary performance requirements according to DVB broadcasting data format. And paper describes the multiplex arithmetic for generating transport stream data format. Several key chips in system design are selected; the hardware design on video compression sub_system and audio compression sub_system have been finished; the real time multiplex arithmetic for the project has been programmed and debugged. And independent coding system has been developed finally. In course of design of hardware system, the video encoder chip and the embedded microprocessor PowerPC are two cores of system, modularization design are adopted. In audio compression sub_system, DSP-TMS320C3 is used to achieve audio compression, and it takes on the generation of audio elementary stream. In order to make object system working under development environment and working independently, the CPU control model and the communication interface between object system and development platform are designed to make the system totality. It is another important task to debug the software of coding system. The kernels of software are to set time parameters about PCR, PTS, DTS and to implement multiplexing of video & audio ES data. In order to make the system independent, the initial program and boot program have been developed. In the end, based on above works, the conclusion is made and the next goal is put forward. This work is the important part of national "863" high-tech project - Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB).
