中文摘要今天通讯体制正在经历着深刻的变革,宽带IP技术迅猛发展,G位线速度路由交换设备的面世,以及IP网络QoS问题的解决,向我们展示了新一代通信网络的发展前景——即建立在全光学DWDM传输网络上的采用高性能路由交换机的宽带IP网络。宽带IP网络的关键设备——高性能路由交换机采用专门优化用来作通信协议处理的可编程ASIC芯片,具有很强的数据包处理能力和很高的网络吞吐能力,提供网络第二层/第三层/第四层的一体化交换功能,支持高速率的线速度传输带宽,同时提供服务质量保障。本论文首先介绍了高性能路由交换机发展的背景知识,然后又分几章介绍了线速度路由交换机的系统结构、线速度路由交换机的软件结构、扩展二层功能的实现以及高性能IP路由的实现,最后对今后的工作进行了展望。三层交换的核心是通过优化的网络处理机完成IP数据包的路由转发。在基本二层和扩展二层交换功能的基础上,本人研究了IP协议标准,实现了高性能的IP路由。该工作已进入实用阶段。
英文摘要Today the communication system is going through profound changes. Information operation has shifted from mainly focusing on voice communication to including combined data, video and voice communication. With the development of Broadband IP Technology, the emergence of the Gigabit Ethernet Routing Switch and the research of IP QoS, it becomes prospective to establish a DWDM based Broadband IP network, among which the core device is the High-powered Routing Switch. The Routing Switch adopt a programmable ASIC-Network Processor as its core module, which is specially optimized to process network applications. It utilizes a custom reduces instruction set which can support multi-layer switching function in a extensible manner, support wire speed transmission rate in a very high bandwidth, and support Quality of Service. In this thesis, 1 firstly introduce the background of Gigabit Ethernet Routing Switch. Then 1 separately discuss the system architecture of the Routing Switch, the software architecture of the Routing Switch, the implementation of the extended Layer 2 function and the implementation of the Layer 3 routing. At last, the perspective is presented. My work is concentrated on the implementation of part of the extended Layer 2 function and the implementation of the Layer 3 routing. The core of the Layer 3 Switching is to implement the IP packets routing and forwarding by using the optimized Network Processor. Based on the study of the Basic Layer 2 and Extended Layer 2 switching functions, 1 analyzed Internet Protocol and implemented the high-performance IP routing.
