| 英文摘要 | The neural correlates of insightful problem solving were investigated by event-related fMRI. As the unpredictable and short-lived moments of exceptional thinking where the implicit assumptions about the relevance of common knowledge to a problem must be discarded before a solution can be revealed, insight means breaking of mental impasse and changing of inappropriate initial problem representations. Our neuroimage studies showed that (1) areas that are observed in cognitive conflict - anterior cingulate cortex and left lateral prefrontal cortex - mediated the process of mental impasse breaking, and (b) areas known to participate in visuo-spatial processing, including bilateral middle temporal/occipital gyrus and left middle frontal gyrus, subserved the representational change during insight. |
