Peak P-T conditions for eclogites across the Tongcheng-Yuantanpu Region and its tectonic setting

英文摘要Eclogites across the Tongcheng-Yuantanpu Region are identified as the typical high-pressure eclogites on the basis of the analysis of petrology and minerals composition and the exact estimations for P-T conditions of eclogites, and bear no any ultrahigh-pressure minerals. Garnet with the progressive zoning of compositions shows idiomorphic texture and bears many early minerals. The results of peak P-T conditions from eclogites across the region indicate that these eclogites had been metamorphosed in the range of P =1. 62 similar to 2. 35GPa and T = 421 degrees C similar to 604 degrees C. Based on this study, about 250 km(2) area along the Tongcheng-Yuantanpu Region belong to the high-pressure (HP) metamorphic Terrane, which exists as structure slice limiting by faults. Comparison with the P-T conditions of the ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) Terrane in the South Dabie Terrane, at least 0. 3GPa gap happens between the HP and UHP Terranes. Combined with geological investigating in the field, we conjecture that the present-day distribution of HP Terrane results from extensional dome of the North Dabie Terrane. The identification of the new high-pressure metamorphic Terrane has the important denoting significance for re-recognizing and comprehending the tectonic frame, subduction and exhumation of Dabie orogenic zone.
