Geochemistry study and tectonic background of A style host granite in Nianzigou molybdenum deposit in Xilamulun molybdenum metallogenic belt, Inner Mongolia

英文摘要Located in the middle segment of the northern margin of North China Craton, the host-granite of Nianzigou molybdenum deposit is a typical Mesozoic A-type granite. Rb-Sr isotopic dating yields an age of 167 +/- 2Ma (MSWD = 1.3), indicating that the host-granite was intruded in middle Jurassic. Geochemically, the host-granites of Nianzigou molybdenum deposit are rich in silicon, alkalis, aluminum, poor in calcium, magnesium and total iron, and show enrichment of Rb, Ba, Tb, K and depletions of P, Ti, Ta Nb. They also have LREE enrichment, and europium depletion (delta Eu = 0.60 - 0.68). The characteristics of Sr-Nd isotope are relatively low initial Sr-87/Sr-86 values (0.70516 similar to 0.70519) and negative epsilon(Nd) (t) values (-3.8 similar to 7.4), which indicate that the host-granites show more characteristics of the old crust mixed with the mantle materials in their source rocks. The ranges of Pb-206/Pb-204 (17.67 similar to 17.92), Pb-207/Pb-204 (15.39 similar to 15.41) and Pb-201/Pb-214 (38.05 similar to 38.83) of host-granites show components of lower continental crust. Compared with the other Mesozoic A-type granites in the northern marginal region of North China Craton and northeastern of China, we suggest that above granites have the same geochemical characteristics, same tectonic setting, and the host-granite was formed in the post-collision stage.
