A study on the geochemical characteristics and origin of volcanic rocks in Wangtian'e volcano.

| 英文摘要 | The dominant Cenozoic (7.04 similar to 1.86Ma) volcanic rocks in Wangtian'e volcano (Jilin Province, NE China) are composed of basaltic trachyandesite and alkalic rhyolite. The basaltic trachyandesites have low SiO(2) (49.38% similar to 53.31 %), K(2)O + Na(2)O (4.27 % similar to 7.72%) and Sigma REE (163.69 x 10(-6) 258.55 x 10(-6)). Their delta Eu values range between 0.72 and 1.17. The alkalic rhyolites possess high SiO(2) (70.39% similar to 71.49%) K(2)O + Na(2)O (9.28% similar to 9.49%) and Sigma REE (309.30 x 10(-6) 465.03 x 10(-6)). The delta Eu values are 0.52 to 0.71. (87)Sr/(86)Sr and (144)Nd/(143)Nd vary within 0.705156 similar to 0.709029 and 0.512295 similar to 0.512602 respectively. Radiogenic Pb isotope ratios are relatively low ((206)Pb/(204)Pb = 17.254 similar to 18.090; (210)Pb/(204)Pb = 15.460 similar to 15.507; (208)Pb/(204)Pb = 37.278 similar to 38.048). All of the geochemical characteristics show that basaltic trachyandesite and alkalic rhyolite in Wangtian'e volcano had the common magma source and intrinsically genetic evolution relation. The basaltic trachyandesite possibly result from partial melt of the enriched upper mantle and then evolved into alkalic rhyolite by crystallization differentiation. |
