英文摘要By repeating trial experiments, the thermal conversion (TC) device, which is the intermediate junction part between the chromatography and the isotope ratio mass spectrometry for delta D analysis of single molecule hydrocarbon, was developed for the first time by designing and installing the major components of the thermal conversion devices ( including heating elements, high-temperature pyrolysis tube and temperature-control unit). The experimental results show that the highest temperature could reach 1500 degrees C, increased by 50 degrees C comparing with the traditional products. Between 1250 degrees C and 1500 degrees C, thirteen temperature points were selected to test the efficiency of the newly-developed thermal conversion device by using the most representative chemically-stable hydrocarbon compound (CH(4)), the results showed that the TC working temperature can be controlled with a high accuracy (+/-3 degrees C) and the hydrogen isotope values of CH(4) (delta DCH(4)) gradually became lighter with the reaction temperature increased, which conforms to the regular pattern of delta D(n-alkane) analysis. From the delta D test of the standard multi-components gaseous hydrocarbons(natural gas), the international standard liquid hydrocarbon compounds and the geological oil samples, the delta D(n-alkane) accuracy is better than +/-2.5 parts per thousand, which can fully meet the related research need. For the low-cost design and construction, this thermal conversion device has made a good application in the delta D(n-alkane) analysis.
