Contrast analysis of the lunar atmospheric M-2 and N-2 tides in Wuhan and Adelaide

英文摘要 | Using the several years observed data of the Adelaide (35 degrees S, 138 degrees E) and Wuhan (30. 6 degrees N, 114. 5 degrees E) meteor radars, the seasonal, height and year-to-year variations of the 12. 66 h lunar tide (N-2 tide) at 80 similar to 100 km were presented for the first time. The results showed that the N-2 tide and the 12. 42 h lunar tide (M-2 tide) both have clear seasonal, height and year-to-year variations in Wuhan and Adelaide. The amplitude ratio of the N-2 to M-2 tide is larger than the ratio value 0. 191 of their gravitational potential. In different season and height of some years, the amplitude of the N-2 tide is even larger than that of M-2 tide. The ratio values of many types of amplitude are close to or exceed the double of the ratio of their gravitational potential. The N-2 lunar atmosphere tide at the middle-lower thermosphere layer is worth paying attention. |
