英文摘要 | Datan volcanic basin, located at the northern margin of the North China Craton, is an integral part of the Yan-Liao polymetallic (Mo-U-Ag-Pb-Zn) and Guyuan-Hongshanzi uranium belts. U-Pb dating on zircon by SHRIMP in this study suggests that rhyolite of the Zhangjiakou Formation and intruding granitic porphyry were emplaced at 140.2 +/- 1.9Ma (2 sigma, MSWD =1.7) and 131.7 +/- 1.1Ma (2 sigma, MSWD = 0.8), respectively. Whole rock major and trace elements analyses indicate that they both exhibit typical geochemical features of A-type granite, i.e. rich in Si, Fe, Ga, Rb, Pb, Th, U, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta and LREE, and depleted in Al, Mg, Ti, Ba, Sr, Eu, Cr, Ni and HREE. Bulk rock Nd isotopic analyses reveal that they have similar epsilon(Nd(t)) (-15.9 and -16.5) and t(DM2) values (2267Ma and 2220Ma), indicating a common magma source. Elemental bivariate diagrams show evident trends of crystal fractionation of K-feldspar and biotite, leading to relative enrichment of Si, U and HREE, and relative depletion of Fe, Mg, Ti, Al, Sr, Ba, Eu, Zr and LREE. Combining previous studies, we propose that the rhyolite and granitic porphyry were derived from partial melting of Paleoproterozoic (ca 2.2 similar to 2.3 Ga) middle to lower crustal rocks of tonalitic to granodioritic compositions under an infra-plate extensional setting induced by lithospheric thinning and destruction of the North China Craton. The newly-obtained Rb-Sr isochron and previously published U-Pb ages suggest the U (Mo) metallogenesis may have occurred at 105 similar to 110Ma, which postdates the formation timing of both rhyolite and granitic porphyry. Comparative interpretation between Datan and other U-producing basins such as Guyuan suggests that the rhyolite and granitic porphyry in particular were favorable source rocks for U mineralization, which is further supported by their abnormally high uranium contents, and thus it is inferred that Datan basin should be consider as a potential exploration target. |
