Label Model(SLM)toimprovetheperformanceofpersonre-identification underthemulti-shotsetting.
Moreover,weutilizemutual-informationtomeasuretherelevancebetweenqueryimageandgallery
sets. Todecreasethecomputationalcomplexity,weapplyaNaive–BayesNearest-Neighboralgorithmto
approximatethemutual-informationvalue.Toovercomethelimitationsoftraditionallinearmetric
learning, wefurtherdevelopadeepnon-linearmetriclearning(DeepML)approachbasedonNeighbor-
hood ComponentAnalysisandDeepBeliefNetwork.Toevaluatetheeffectivenessofourproposed
approaches, SLMandDeepML,wehavecarriedoutextensiveexperimentsontwochallengingdatasetsi-
LIDS andETHZ.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratethattheproposedmethodscanobtainbetter
performances comparedwiththestate-of-the-artmethods.
