Shell-model calculations of beta decays in N-18

| 英文摘要 | We investigate beta decays of the neutron-rich nucleus N-18 and the structure of the daughter nucleus O-18 using the shell model. The reduced transition strengths B(GT) and branching ratios of the beta decays in 18N are calculated in the psd and spsdpf shell spaces with the WBT interaction. The calculations in the two different spaces are compared. The psd calculations obtaina better agreement with the observation of the beta-delayed neutron emission, which seems to show that the observed that the observed properties of N-18 and O-18 are mainly produced by one particle beings excited from the p-shell to the sd-shell. |
