| 英文摘要 | Based on the head-to-tail symmetry only, an elastic theory of a chiral filament is proposed [Langmuir 7 (1991) 567]. Following the same idea, we generalize the theory from the original fourth order to the sixth, such that the coexistence of static bistable helical conformations with opposite handedness is explained.
