Dynamics of inhomogeneous condensates in contact with a surface

| 英文摘要 | We show that interplay of linear attractive (repulsive) boundary with inhomogeneous repulsive (attractive) interatomic interactions results in nonlinear localized surface modes (surface solitons), some of which are stable. We consider several example systems describing interaction of inhomogeneous Bose-Einstein condensates with rigid surfaces and allowing for exact solutions. The stability of the obtained modes is analyzed analytically and numerically. Stable localized surface modes are found and dynamics of the unstable modes is described. |
