Spectral Line On-The-Fly Observing System of the Delingha 13.7 m Telescope

| 英文摘要 | The millimeter-wavelength multibeam superconducting receiver(called superconducting imaging spectrometer) developed by Purple Mountain Observatory was installed on the 13.7 m telescope at the end of 2010. To improve the observational capability of the multibeam superconducting imaging spectrometer, Purple Mountain Observatory also developed the OTF(On-The-Fly) observation method on the basis of the multibeam receiver, which is efficient in sky survey. It is the first time in the world that the interlaced scanning OTF method is proposed and applied. We test and verify this scanning method systematically, and optimize the observation parameters. We also develop the observation table generator software for the OTF observation method, which provides the functions of reference point searching, observation time estimation, root mean square estimation, and observation time optimization. The OTF data preprocessing software is also developed in the meantime, which applies bad data elimination and data correction, and can complete the data gridding processing in combination with the GILDS software. The observation results are consistent with that observed by the FCRAO(Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory). This observation system has been applying to spectral mapping observation by the 13.7 m telescope since 2011, e.g. widely used in the Milky Way Image Scroll Painting project and other observation projects, and good observation results were achieved, which verifies the validity of the system. |
