Solid-state NMR characterization of beta-sialons from self-propagating high-temperature synthesis

英文摘要A series of highly crystalline beta-sialons prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) has been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, Si-29 and Al-27 MAS NMR spectroscopy. The microdomain-type structure of the products (with general composition Si6-zAlzOzN8-z where 0.5 less than or equal to z less than or equal to 2.0) is very similar to that of beta-sialons prepared using conventional synthesis methods.
