Characteristics of train noise in crosswind conditions

英文摘要The aerodynamic loads and noise of high speed trains deteriorate rapidly in crosswind conditions. Typical study usually focuses on the characteristics of aerodynamic loads and corresponding safety issues, while less on the noise characteristics. In the present paper, a hybrid NLAS/FW-H approach has been adopted to investigate the near field and far field noise of high speed trains under different yaw angles. As the root of acoustic field, typical flow phenomena in crosswind conditions has been firstly analyzed, and flow separations and reattachments on the train surface have been discussed in detail. For the near field analysis, the asymmetric characteristics of acoustic field have been studied and the comparison with that in no crosswind conditions has been performed. For the far field analysis, the comparison of the acoustic intensity of probes in the windward and leeward sides has been performed, and a linear relationship between the yaw angle and the acoustic intensity has been obtained. Results in this paper could aid in the study of amenity problem for trains running in complex conditions. © Civil-Comp Press, 2014.
