Seven new spirocyclic polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols (PPAPs), hyperhenones G-M (1-7), were isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Hypericum henryi. The structures of 1-6 sharing a common octahydrospiro[cyclohexan-1,5'-indene]-2,4,6-trione core and compound 7 possessing a rare 4,5-seco spirocyclic PPAP skeleton, were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive NMR and MS spectroscopic data. The inhibitory activities of all the isolates were examined against three human tumor cell lines, and compound 9 showed week inhibitory activities to A549 and HeLa (IC50 24.8 and 27.9 mu M).
