Influence of Dy2O3–CaF2 Addition on Preparation, Microstructure and Properties of AlN Ceramics

英文摘要AlN ceramic was pressureless-sintered in nitrogen at 1 800 with Dy2O3–CaF2 as binary additives. The density, thermal properties, mechanical and phase change and microstructure of sintered AlN ceramic were characterized by the Archimeds drainage method, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, laser thermal conductivity analysis and universal testing machinery. The results show that the binary sintering aids Dy2O3–CaF2 can promote the grain growth and AlN densification, and improve the thermal conductivity of AlN ceramic. AlN ceramic with 2.5% (in mass fraction) Dy2O3+1.5% (in mass fraction) CaF2 was pressureless-sintered in nitrogen at 1 800 for 2 h. The relative density and thermal conductivity of AlN ceramic is 99.6% and 169 W/(m·K), respectively, and AlN ceramic with the growth-well grains has a high mechanical strength. © 2018, Editorial Department of Journal of the Chinese Ceramic Society.
