Near-perfect utility ZnO-stearic acid (STA) superhydrophobic nanocoating has been demonstrated via an extremely facile one-step strategy. This green superhydrophobic nanocoating can be applied on any solid substrate with great waterproofing ability, stability, and durability. More significantly, it also displays good anti-fouling, self-cleaning, and oil-water separation properties.
