Fe-incorporatedSBA-15catalystswerepreparedviahydrothermalmethodusingureaasself-regulatorforpH.TheobtainedcatalystsexpressedhighlyorderedmesoporousstructuresprovedbyN2adsorption-desorption,XRDandTEMcharacterization,alsoweretestedfortheiractivityindehydrogenationofisobutane.ModeratelyandstronglyacidicsitesaswellasFe3+specieswereidentifiedasactivesites.Theorderedmesoporousiron-silicacatalystdisplayedbettercatalyticstabilityascomparedwithamorphousiron-silicacatalyst,whichwasascribedtotheconfinementeffectoforderedmeso-structure.Moreover,frameworkironimprovedtheinter-actionofironwiththesupportandincreasedmoreweaklyacidicsites,whichwerefavorabletorestrainthecokeformation.Thecokewasamajorcauseforcatalyticdeactivation.
