英文摘要 | The problem of slope stability influenced by change of water level has been very serious. Especially in the reservoir area in Three Gorges, the landslides along the reservoir are inevitably influenced by rise and fall of water level, the seepage field in slope will be changed and result in landslide disaster. Landslides have been observed to damage settlements and infrastructure sited at the crest of the slope or cause reservoir overtopping and flooding. Centrifuge testing has been regarded as a very effective method for study of geotechnical problems. In order to investigate the influence of impoundment and water level fluctuation on reservoir slope stability in Three Gorges in China, based on the prototype of the Muzishu landslide, centrifugal testing to simulate the rise and fall of reservoir water level is introduced in this paper. During the procedure of each test, conducted at 100g, the water level in front of slope is varied. Digital images are collected for slope deformation analysis using GeoPIV (Geotechincal Particle Image Velocimety). The slope displacement, crack propagation, failure surfaces and failure modes are obtained using this technique, providing direct meaningful data for evaluating the slope failure mechanism. In addition, from the comparison of two tests with different reservoir filling levels, further significant results have been obtained and demonstrated that different water fluctuation magnitude will have a different impact on slope movements. |
