| 英文摘要 | A nearly-symmetric matrix is defined as a matrix in which the overwhelming majority of its elements are symmetric about its diagonal If those nonsymmetric elements in the upper triangular matrix are replaced by the elements at the symmetric entries in the lower triangular matrix, the matrix will become a symmetric one By means of the Sherman-Morrison formula, an efficient and stable algorithm for the system of linear equations with a nearly-symmetric matrix is proposed Compared with those solvers for general sparse nonsymmetric matrices, the proposed algorithm is highly parallelizable and owns a compact solution scheme similar to the conventional LDL(T) decomposition The applications of this proposed algorithm are illustrated in a frictional contact example and a slope stability analysis with non-associated plasticity flow It can be observed that directly treating the relevant nonsymmetric matrices rather than the symmetrized matrices can significantly improve the convergence property (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd All rights reserved |
